A Clear and Supportive Referral Process

We work closely with schools and local authorities to ensure that every placement is appropriate and supportive for the young person.

Referrals are welcomed from:

  • Schools
  • Social Workers
  • Education Welfare Officers
  • Youth Services
  • Local Authority Education Departments

1

Send a Referral

Send a brief overview of the young person’s needs and the support required.

If you’re unsure whether Orchard Thrive is suitable, you can contact us first to discuss.

2

Initial Assessment

We complete an assessment to review:

• Educational history
• Learning needs
• Behavioural and emotional needs
• Health or disability support requirements

3

Placement Offer

If the placement is suitable we will:

• Issue a placement offer
• Develop an individual learning plan
• Agree attendance expectations
• Confirm communication arrangements

4

Funding Agreement

Funding is confirmed through an individual placement agreement.

5

Enrolment and Induction

Once funding is agreed we complete:

• Enrolment paperwork
• Verification of identity and previous education
• Introduction and induction period

This ensures the young person begins in a calm, supportive way.
